How to return/recycle the battery of an iPhone 4/4s Liberation kit?

I mistakenly ordered an ifixit iPhone 4/4S battery replacement. It’s not for the right model so I have no use for the battery itself, but I kept the tools that came with it. I’m not asking for a refund, merely a way to properly return (or maybe recycle) the battery.
