There was a loud pop and then the screen went black. Sound still works. All of the capacitors that I can see look like they’re in good condition. Any ideas as to what the problem might be?

kwelwitness23 we need to make sure that your TV is a Samsung HL56A650C1FXZA . If so it could be an issue with either the DLP chip or the projection lamp. I’d go with a new lamp first. If you are unsure you can always post some good pictures of your boards with your QUESTION so that we can see what you see. Adding images to an existing question
