Firestick vs pioneer vs marantz

I am trying to connect pioneer pro ro6u and Marantz sr 6008 to firestick unsuccessfully. I can connect tv to firestick but no sound. Any suggestions?

It depends on how you set it up, Is your TV connected directly to the receiver?

The Pioneer plasma box is connected to the Marantz surround sound receiver. The Pioneer tv is a monitor with a separate unit.
