Replacement Keyboard Partially Functioning

I just replaced my keyboard, and everything seems to be back in place and working except for the new keyboard. It seems like that’s usually an issue with not putting the connector back all the way– does the image look correct? Is this keyboard just defective?

That looks correct, but your replacement may be defective. Do any of the keys work? Did your new keyboard come with a blue piece of plastic covering the pins on the end of the keyboard flex cable? If so, did you remove it? Also if you bend that flex cable alot you may have damaged it.

Even though it may seem correct, it never hurts to unplug and replug the connector. If the problem persists, try cleaning the inside with a toothbrush. There sometimes might be some gunk.
