*DATA RECOVERY* Can I connect the 2011 SSD to a 2015 Logic Board?

My logic board by the charger has water damage so I can no longer turn on my 2011 MacBook Air 11”. I have a working 2015 MacBook Air 13”, I was wondering if I could take the older SSD out and plug it into my newer model and backup my files to the cloud. If they’re not compatible, could I buy an adapter to make it register? If so, what is it called? If not, should I just take this to a shop to recover my data?

Thanks

The two Airs are not cross compatible, different SSDs, but data can be recovered through an SSD to Usb adapter card, that’s the cheapest solution: https://www.amazon.com/Converter-Adapter...

There are enclosures for regular use too, but they’re much more expensive and not worth the expense in my opinion if you have a small drive.

Thank you so much, that sounds way easier than what I was thinking of doing. This saved me a ton of time a lot of headaches.
