I use a free Windows Store app, Website change detector.

It offers a simple point and click way to compare all the files in a local folder with those on my websites

You can get all of the hashes (SHA256, MD5, etc.) of your files and then periodically check the files with the hashes

Or keep a backup of the files and then diff the server files with the local files

I understand you. I had the same problem after I was in touch with a bad digital marketing company. Well, they pretended to represent a digital marketing company, but in reality, they were just scammers. That is when I realized that before choosing a company to help you, better to research a bit about it, to read some reviews, or to look through their previous works. Happily, after that incident, I found some trusted SEO specialists from https://crowdo.net/blog/crowd-marketing/ that helped me and showed me a lot of tools like ahref and others, that helped me monitor the activity and visitors flow on my website. You can contact them too, I am sure they won’t disappoint you.
