Chosen Solution

A Kenmore 80 Series washing machine grinding when spinning could be caused by a number of things, including:

  • A worn-out drum bearing or broken drive pulley
  • A failed motor coupling
  • A worn tub bearing
  • A broken or fallen-off tub spring
  • A clogged or defective drain pump
  • An overloaded washer
  • A foreign object caught between the inner and outer basket
