Replacing battery it will invalidate the waterproof?

If I replace the battery of my Galaxy S9 without replacing also the adhesive, it will invalidate the waterproof?

I bought only adhesive for the battery and when I make the order I didn’t think waterproof issues

Yes, it will. Even if you replace the adhesive, there is no guarantee your phone will be waterproof again. Taking off the back cover will also void any warranty you may have on your phone.

Hi Charlie, thank you for response.

I say incorrectly 'waterproof' but we know that isn't, it is water resistant.

Since I've rooted my phone it's with no warranty, so that's ok!

Yeah it would need to be air-tight sealed but only the phone manufacturer / authorised repair centre has the tools and training to do that.

Replacing the old adhesive for the back cover is a good idea, it's better to reseal as best as possible rather than not as it would leave less gaps for moisture to get in.
