Surface Pro X SSD Swap

I notice that the SSD in the Surface Pro X looks a little different than the pictures I have seen of potential replacements (still looking, have not found any available). The connector has only one notch and it appears quite a bit thicker. Is there some shielding that needs to be removed or moved to new SSD?

Have since returned the Pro X and went for a Laptop 3 due to Win10 issues. Same SSD so process still applies.

Thank you.

No issue that I have found. There is a post here on replacing the SSD.

Microsoft Surface Pro X SSD Replacement

There are several options but I’ve only personally done it with the Kioxia BG4 M.2 2230 SSD.
