How to stop the low pressure message!

Hi, I’ve been having a problem with my 2003 Yukon XL where I constantly get a low oil pressure warning. I have checked my oil and it’s been full and clean every time. I have had the sensor replaced recently. I was wondering if anyone knows how to just turn the message off or at least make the annoying beeping stop?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hi @kt545,

Since you have replaced the oil pressure sender unit get the engine’s oil pump tested by a mechanic.

If there is insufficient oil pressure in an engine it could damage the engine

you would need to disconnect the sensor and program the ecu to ignore both. low oil pressure doesn’t mean dirty and low oil, there’s not enough force pumping it around the car, if the wiring is fine and the sensor there is low pressure, I wouldn’t advise just muting the warning as the engine needs it to lubricate itself and could cause engine failure and an expensive mechanic bill.

Get a better diagnosis could be a couple things. Ultimately change everything at once unlike me.
