Went dead after using wrong charger

I inadvertantly plugged my dino robot into a 12 volt aquarium charger. (Had the right end). Initially the robot's eyes lit up green then turned red and then went out after 3-4 minutes. It now does nothing. What do you think is wrong and can it be fixed? Thanks

Hi,

You’ll have to open up the robot and check for any damage on the motherboard.

Look for burnt out components and / or use a DMM to check for faulty components especially around the area of the power input on the motherboard as usually this is where all the power regulation comes from for the device.

Here’s a link to the ifixit Zoomer Dino Boomer guide, which may be of some help.

If you find something amiss and aren’t quite sure, post some images back here to hopefully get more help.

Here’s how to do this. Adding images to an existing question
