only top portion of tv showing.

I’m having a similar issue, only top portion of tv showing.. When turning it on I can see the backlight but no bottom picture

@jamesrob sounds like a backlight LED issue. We would need to know what make and model this is (it is important to know if this is and LED backlight TV or a plasma model)and possibly what it looks like. Post some good pictures of what your screen shows with your question. Since you said it has a backlight but no picture on the bottom I would assume this to be a plasma TV.Adding images to an existing question
