Ipad screen gone black

A couple days ago I dropped my ipad about 2 inches high onto my leg. the screen went black. I tried the rebooting sequence but it doesn’t help. Power still gets to it, as went it is turned on, you can see a slight but almost unnoticeable change in the brightness of the black but you have to be in the dark to notice it. Now would it be the screen gone bad or the display driver?

Try shine a bright light to the screen at boot or when toggling power button to check if you have a dimmed out image or no image at all. In first scenario there’s a higher chance of a board backlight issue whereas in the second an Lcd failure would be more likely. Yet, we are just talking about probabilities, without known good parts or tests one can never be 100% sure.

Did try shining a light on the LCD display. It was still completely black.

@johntanguay An Lcd replacement would be the most reasonable first step then.
