Possible to upgrade the Motherboard from i5 processor 8 GB to i7 8GB?

Hi Dear,

I would like to know whether it is possible to upgrade the Motherboard from i5 processor 8 GB to i7 processor 8GB for Microsoft surface pro 4 1724 and rest all other parts are same from i5. If possible what all other parts need to replace?.

Kindly let me know ASAP.

Hi Bharath

It means you want to change the device. My answer is no. I have Surface pro Core i7,I think you can have a faster laptop from other ways.

look at the following page

No video after SSD upgrade, 2 LEDs on, 3rd off

Do not think about any kind of replacement(upgrade ) for it.All parts are working together.

In my opinion for "Surface pro", yes.

Consider the Partition C up to 40 percent free .

Open the task manager.Click on the "more details' and then on the "Performance" tab. Look at the activity of the CPU,is it very active and busy when you try to do ordinary level tasks? if yes then click on the "startup" tab and disable unnecessary programs to help RAM .You need to consider the partition C as at least 40 percent free to help the virtual memory as well.more free space means more speed.

Uninstall unnecessary programs .
