Touch screen not working.
When I touch my screen anywhere it only acts like I touch it in the lower left hand corner.
Is this a good question?

You may have a faulty digitizer (touchscreen) connection to the systemboard or a faulty digitizer.
I have been unsuccessful in finding a video or manual that shows how to open your particular model, that would allow you to inspect the connection or if necessary access the digitizer to replace it.
There are also very few parts available online for your particular model. These parts are the only ones that I could find and it shows that the may be two different LCD module types for the Nuvi 550, (Type C and Type B?) which makes it confusing, unless they are the same and this is the seller’s code for some reason.
You may have better luck finding repair videos and parts for the GPS. Sorry that I couldn’t be of more help.

How are those screens attached to the motherboard?

Looking at the images they appear to just plug in, perhaps with a locking bar arrangement but maybe not.
