Why did my screen go black and have lines on it
I have a acer chrome book and the screen is black with lines on it and it is turning white

Gina Saldivar that sounds like a bad display. Post some images with your QUESTION of what it looks like so we can validate this. Of course you want to go ahead and let us know what the exact model of your Chromebook is. Also, attach an external monitor and see what that displays. If the display on that is okay you know that the GPU for your Chromebook is okay.
