PS2 slim spch 90004 disc won't spin

my PS2 slim 9000 series is moded ,when i dissamble the PS2 to change lens (the old lens is working fine) i added a new lens for it but when i started the PS2 by holding the sensor lid it won't move…please help me only one sensor lid is available for a new model 9000x series i there any other switch i have missed…

Hi!

There are 2 sensors.

One on the motherboard and one at the top of the power button/LED board.

Usually this issue is caused by the laser...

Are you sure that the replacement laser is fine? As your old laser does work, this really indicates that the new laser is faulty OR the anti static solder is not removed yet. This need to be removed before it works. If you already did that, then return the laser and get yourself a new one.

@dan0 thanks for the reply, mine is SCPH-90006 version where I can't see the box like little sensor in the back there is nothing. Is there any way I can send you a photo of my console?

Hi!

I only can see one of the sensors. What happens if you put a game in? Do you hear the reader activating (when everything is assembled again)? If yes, then there is something wrong with the laser probably. If not, then you might want to replace the power button with the sensor on it, as it still looks good, it's possible that it is broken!

@dan0 when I start it I hear a sound I think it's the sound of the fan. I don't hear any other sounds. And the laser doesn't move the disk doesn't spin. What do you think I should do should I change the laser or sensor(assembled)
