My son's Ninetendo DS Lite's hinge broke. When it broke, it also seems to have damaged the wires that were housed in that area. How do I fix the wires so the system can work?

If the wires are not broken, I believe there is room for you to just use a small amount of electrical tape on each wire. If they are broken you will need some small diameter heat shrink tubing, a heat gun or hair dryer and a soldering iron. Place the tubing over the wires as far away from the solder joint as possible and then carefully solder the wires together. then slide the tubing over the splice and heat it up.
