Home button unresponsive (not stuck)

I have an iPhone 6S with it’s home button not working. The home button is normally clickable and clean and TouchID works fine, but the click itself don’t registers any clicks.

I tried to remove the home button module and clean it with alcohol, it worked for about an hour and then it got slowly unresponsive and after a day it got again completely unresponsive. I think it has to do with the contacts on the “clicking” part of the home button, maybe it has lost it’s conductance.

Any ideas how to fix it? (Of course I want my TouchID, so replacing it isn’t an option).

Answer this question I have this problem too

You would have to replace the home button because you can’t fix that. You can get the onscreen home button and just use the home button as a Touch ID thing to get into your phone

Why you say I can’t fix it? What’s the problem of the home button? Isn’t any solution? Any method I can clean it permanently?

You can replace it but you won’t get Touch ID
