How to remove the digital crown on an Apple Watch

I want to remove the nut so I can swap the crown and housing. Is there a way to get a new nut that holds the crown and sensor or can someone tell me how to remove the nut.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Boy! I haven’t seen any need to go that far.

First you’ll need to take most of the watch apart to get the sensor assembly off to make room for the screw to exit (not a nut). It will require a special wrench to hold it as you turn the digital crown. As you can see it has two flat surfaces for the wrench to grab.

What are you doing that you need to go that far??

Do you know what special tool is used for that ???

I would make it, basically using a thin piece of tool steel carefully grinding it down into a custom wrench. One of these might work too Moody Tools 57-0122 16-Piece English / Metric Mini Open End Wrench Set
