Is it worth cloning a mechanical hard drive to ssd, but changing it only after it has failed?
Thanks
Is this a good question?

Hi Thomas,
depending on your meaning. If you want to speed up your laptop, then you should exchange your HDD for SSD after the cloning. If you want the only backup for your laptop, I’m not sure, if the SSD is a great idea and greatest way. But it’s still depending on you, I’m suggesting you exchange your slow HDD for SSD and from the HDD make a spare disc with a backup. It’s better to enjoy new technology then waiting for the issue.
