Missing socket for WiFi antenna cable from iPad Air 2

While prying off old antennae cable from socket during WIFI antennae replacement of iPad Air 2, socket was accidentally removed from board. Is there a replacement part of some way to fix this?

There are really two options for this:

  • Order a replacement iPex antenna socket and attempt to solder the replacement to the logic board (I would order a wifi card with the same socket and transfer the connector)
  • Strip back the antenna wires and solder them directly to the logic board.

I’m having a hard time finding a replacement SOCKET for this. I’m only finding the same piece I’ve already replaced ‘WIFI antenna and GPS ANTENNA FLEX CABLE REPLACEMENT’ which does not include the socket. Do you have any suggestions? Do you have any videos on soldering the wires to the board directly (missing socket)?
