steve.d.wright maybe ;-> Depends on the model and depends on the board. You would need to look at the board numbers and see if they are at least somewhat compatible. Next would be making sure that the connectors are all the same. So, without actually seeing it and comparing the boards it will be difficult to answer. Also even if they look the same, doesn't mean the firmware etc. will be the same. Just like anything else in life, “Nothing ventured, nothing gained” so if the connectors are the same I would at least try it out.

If you have the boards you can post some pictures of those with your Question so that we can see what you see. Adding images to an existing question

well looking at the connections, they look the same. my tv is a panasonic viera tx-p50g10b. and when turning it on it flashes green as if gonna work but then goes into a 2 blink red flash. i changed the power board. but i think the old one was ok, cause the new one made no diff to the red 2 blink

an ideas ? please. dont know if to buy sc board or av board next ?. to try n sort the problem..

Your panasonic is a plasma tv. The 2 blinks are indicative of the error: 15V SOS A-BOARD. That would be your main board. Let us know what board number your TV has in the A-board
