27" LCD Panel Replacement Compatibility

Hello,

This question was asked before but nobody answered it so I am going to give it another try ;-)

I ordered a replacement screen for my Late 2015 27”.

My original screen is LM270QQ1-(SD)(B1)

The replacement I received is LM270QQ1-(SD)(A2)

The …A2 model is for the iMac 2014.

Can anyone tell me if the panels are interchangeable?

I know that there is a difference in the display gamut in the 2015 model and so I am concerned with compatibility.

Thank you.

Is the A1419 2015 LM270QQ1-SDB1 compatible with A1419 2017 LM270QQ1-SDC1

by

The 2017 27" iMac display assembly is a different Apple P/N 661-07323 and here's the LG# LM270QQ1 (SD)(C1)

I've not tried fitting the newer display onto the older system. I try to stick with the original Apple P/N parts for screens.

ProTechRestore says my Late 2015 27" imac needs the LM270QQ1 (SD) (A1/A2). I've reached out to them to see if they can confirm that their recommendation is correct. Can someone explain the difference between the B1 and A1/A2? My serial number is DCPT41G2H0Q4 for those who are thinking that I probably have a Mid 2015 model.

Chosen Solution

The correct displays for your system is: Apple P/N is 661-03255 and you are correct the LG display P/N is LM270QQ1 (SD)(B1)

The older 2014 & Mid 2015 is a different part AppleP/N 661-00200 and LG # LM270QQ1 (SD)(A1) or LM270QQ1 (SD)(A2)

They are not the same! Return it and get the correct display.

Hey, in my Post you mentioned that the EMC 2806 can have the A1 or the better B1. Which one should I buy?

by

@zarkhas - Re-read what I wrote. You need the B1 display for the 2015 system.
