Yamaha PSR 730 mains cable required

Hi guys hope you can help me out here. The mains adaptor has stopped working as I can see a wire has come out near the connector plug due to wear and tear. I am having difficulty locating a replacement mains adaptor as the last adaptor I purchased just didn’t work. I think the issue is that the keyboard is a good 15 years old and the original adaptor is no longer available.

Would appreciate any ideas on how I can source the correct adaptor. Thanks

Yamaha PSR-730

Input Voltage Range: AC 100V - 240V / Output Max: 12V 2A 5.5*2.5mm

The original Yamaha part is/was: PA-6

FWIW, there is really nothing special about that particular adaptor. Just pay attention to the voltage, current and connector size specifications. BTW, if you post a photo or two of your old broken unit, someone here should be able to tell you if it can be fixed or not.

@rv74 there are still plenty of adapters that will fit your keyboard. Check places like this as well as many others. Main thing is to ensure that it has the proper voltages as described in the comments.

@rv74 yes, that should work as well. Looks costly but it'll do :-)
