How to fix a water damaged touch screen?

I have a third generation Ipod touch. However it recently got wet. I vacuumed the water out and set it in rice for about a week now. Everything seems to be working fine, I don't see any water damage marks on the screen, and my computer recognizes it when it is plugged in. It also will sync when I open Itunes. The problem is the touch screen is not working. I am not a very tech savvy person so I was wondering if there is any way to fix it without taking it apart or if someone could recommend a cheap place to get it fixed?

I do not think that you can do anything further without taking it apart. Here is the guide for the Electronics Water Damage and the repair guides and here iPod Touch 3rd Generation are the guides. As in finding a repair shop to do it for you, I suggest a good Google search and pick someone reputable as well as close to your geographic location. Good Luck
