Why is my new battery not working?
Recently purchased a new battery replacement from iFixit. I followed the guide to the T when replacing it, however my Mac still won’t turn on. The only thing that’s happen so far is the fan will start running on it’s own, but the Mac itself won’t power up. I’m considering taking to the Apple store to get it checked out, but would like to see if anyone here can answer my question here first. HELP?!
Is this a good question?

Was the system doing the same thing before? If it was then you likely had a logic board issue from the start.

@danj The Mac is an hand-me-down from a neighbor who upgraded to a newer model.
Initially when I first got it, even while plugged in the only thing that displayed on the screen when I hit the power button was a low battery symbol. Therefore I just charged it overnight to see if that would work - nothing.
I thought maybe the issue could've been a bad charger, so I bought a new one & tried to charge it again - nothing happened; same issue as before.
So I did some research and found out it could be that it needed a new battery; so a bought a new battery replacement kit from iFixIt.
And now here I am because now it won't even turn on or display anything; and I followed their guide exactly.
