Smart cover lock/unlock not working after screen replacement.

No lock/unlock function from smart cover after LCD screen replacement.

Confirmed that the lock/unlock option is turned on in the settings.

Judging from Apples diagrams, it looks like the hall effect sensor is on the daughter board on the back of the screen.

The screen I ordered already had the daughter board installed.

Luckily the iPad hasn’t been sealed yet and I still have my old daughter board.

Any other clever ideas before I try to replace the daughter board, because I really don’t want to do that, especially if it’s not going to help.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Looking at the diagram again, there appears to be a second hall effect sensor on the right edge of the ipad, below the volume buttons.

But if you look inside the iPad in that location, there is nothing there... Unless the sensor is under something? Or possibly in the battery circuit? I did replace the battery too if that matters.
