not working. plugged in computer and not showing it is;

i have a ipod touch i have had it plugged in computer and it isnt showing its plugged in and nothing is coming on. what could i do and ive tried the reset thing. doesnt work. i need to know what i could do to fix it or might be wrong with it. please help.

Have you tried using the same cable with a known working iPod? The cable might be bad. Also, is the computer you're trying to connect to the same computer you have had success connecting with before?

What happens when you connect to AC power?

It sounds to me that your battery is totally discharged and/or does not hold a charge. Like rab777hp recommends, try an AC charger and see what happens. Of course, this is assuming that nothing else has happened to your iPod. Good Luck
