Horizontal line going from end to end on the screen

I have a dell latitude e6430 and there is a line running from end to end on the screen. I think its stuck pixels. When the screen is white the line turns red and any other coulor the line is green. How can I fix this? (The line next to the queen playlist is just spotify.)

Just from the pictures I would say that there’s a problem with the LCD display itself. It is either a bad controller chip or the LCD element has pulled away from the contacts to the controller. I’m afraid it may not be repairable. Definitely check with Dell.

Glad to hear it but it probably won’t last. If it comes back try GENTLY squeezing it (front to back) on the edges where the defect is. This is a common aging problem with LCD displays. Replacement is about all you can do. Best of luck.

You have a TAB (tape automated bonding) failure on the LCD. Even if it comes back temporarily, you need a new LCD, like it or not.
