I get no response when I connect Ethernet cable to LAN and router

Your TV needs a workable connection to the internet and you may need to set it up via its onboard settings.
If you have a simple hub (not a switch or router) you could also use your laptop using WireShark (aka Ethereal) Ethernet sniffer visually see what’s happening between your TV and its access to the internet.
