Microphone stopped working after replacing battery

I replaced my battery in my iPhone and everything works but the microphone.

I have double checked all the cables but they seem to be fine and they are all plugged in.

Any ideas for debugging?

Thanks

Paul

The microphone is soldered to the top of the dock connector flex with 2 tiny blobs. If you removed the dock to get to the battery you may have damaged the mic. Buy new dock or new mic and desolder/resolder.

You might also check you haven't "blocked" the mic.. There's a tiny hole for sound to enter through on that rubber surround, try taking dock out and reassemble.. Place mic in it's "seat" first, then push dock in place with dock screw holes on TOP of bezel holes.
