Replaced screen...AGAIN.. this time no home button

I’ve replaced the screen on my iPhone 8 about a half dozen times. I usually get a new digitizer right from amazon. The most recent one won’t recognize my home button at all. Now the last several replacement screens have not had this problem and there is not an issue with the button itself as I plugged it right back into the old screen (which again was just purchased on amazon also) and had no issues. I purchased a second new digitizer thinking the current was defective but same thing no home button. Yes. It is clicked in properly. No. The button is not damaged and again this is probably my 6th screen replacement on this one and never before I have I had this issue.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Maybe try a different seller because the screens on amazon are low quality and total crap. I use the vividfx screens from fixez.com and they work great. They aren’t even that expensive either.

I would screens from other vendors. Not sure what to quality is like form parts on Amazon. You might have just gotten lucky with the other screens and now are receiving poor quality parts.

Hey, I wouldn’t recomend buying from amazon, eBay offers more premium screens. Since the home button worked on an old screen, it’s probably a faulty screen. Always buy OEM Apple displays. They will never have flaws
