Why do some parts of the screen not work?

So after all day today of browsing forums and videos to get pc and desktop to recognize my phone to find out I can’t update so i factory reset the phone. Then during the on screen setup I realized I couldn’t tap on certain areas at all which made it difficult I read about voice over so used that.

Now I’m curious since the phone was dropped would that cause some parts of the screen to not have any sensor at all? What’s the proper name I tried google but keep getting Touch ID, is it simply touch sensor? Is there a possible in home fix to this? I’m for sure not even going to bother with Apple , price probably going to be few hundreds. If I can’t fix at home does ifixit have anything related to my issue?

Answer this question I have this problem too

If you dropped your phone then that can mean the screen is damaged. You won’t be able to see the damage by just looking at the screen. The LCD connectors are secured in the phone with brackets so they don’t pop out. Unless it was repaired before and those brackets were never put back in place. I would recommend taking to a shop or if you’re handy you can open the phone and check for issues and if there are not any then you should first try to replace the screen.
