Replacing the digitizer glass

I just purchased a replacement glass for my Garmin Edge 800, but it is just the glass and not the glass in the frame. How do I remove the cracked glass from the frame and install the new one? The original appears to be glued to the frame

@dwiener

use a good hair dryer or a heat gun on its lowest settings. Move the hot air along the sides of the digitizer to soften the glue. Once soft, use a thin tool to replace the digitizer.

I’m trying a hair dryer. The case is getting hot, but the glue doesn’t appear to be softening. About how long should it take?

@dwiener big depends on the glue they are using. It is most likely a adhesive strip. Try a guitar pick and loosen it when the heat is relatively high without melting the case.
