Missing pads 1 and 8 on touch connector.

Hello everyone,

I had to remove the touch connector from the motherboard of an iPad Mini 1 and in the process 2 pads from the motherboard got removed - number 1 and 8 according to the schematic. I figured one (no.1) is for the home button and I think I know how to fix it but the other one needs to go under the CPU witch I know is not happening. There are a bunch of test points on the bottom of the board but they are not in the schematic… Can somebody with a boardview software point me to the test point I need to connect pin 8 please.

Here is a picture of a connector and the missing pins:

If you can’t or don’t want to invest in a tool like ZXW/FCL, then consider downloading Phoneboard and you will have most of the basic info for free. To highlight this, here are two screen shots for the pins you require from the Phoneboard application. Consider making a donation to the author of Phone board.

Thank you very much! The button started working (pad 1), I am having some trouble soldering the other one but I think I'll be able to do it. I really don't want to do these repairs but I had to do it on this one beause the connector fell apart on me...I really don't have the right equipement to do more than that...

Thanks again for the info and for the tip for Phoneboard, really appreciate it!
