Why are my USB ports not working.

They turn the lights on my keyboard but they will not actually work. I tried every port. They all have power but will not actually work. I plugged in a exposed wire the other day and the computer shut off and now it does this. When I boot the computer it says “Keyboard Error”. The computer still goes to the lock screen but the USB ports are not working.

  • Check if USB device is defective
  • Check Device Drivers
  • Check Power Management Settings
  • Check Power Supply

The USB device is not defective. And I can’t do the other three things because I can’t use a mouse of keyboard as none of the ports work.
