iPhone x working but no image(water damage)

Hi, i have iphone x which has water damage. I opened it, disconnect all connectors and get motherboard out. I cleaned all of parts with contact cleaner. Battery is dead defenetly…

Next step, i put it on power supply, and try to turn on. Phone was turn on, touch working, but no image(display is black).

Example: i put sim card and call my number, phone ringing i can answer but dont see anything on display…

What do you think? New lcd? IC for image? Or other else?

Thanks in advance!

(Sorry for my English…)

You have to be careful with contact cleaners as some of them have lubricants and that should not be used on these types of circuit boards. Contact cleaner is intended to remove oxydation from connectors, pots and switches.

As for the display issue, you have to test with a known-good display first and if that doesn’t work, assume a logic board issue.

The iPhone X has a sandwiched logic board which makes it virtually impossible for a proper DIY decontamination. You may have to separate the sandwich to do a proper decontamination and board level troubleshooting.
