VERY difficult to remove front panel

I've tried almost everything and the panel does not move a bit. I have looked at every youtube video there is and whatever they show it doesn't work on my iPod

The tools provided with a battery are totally useless, tried other with a limited success

Is there any video/ guide showing in a great detail, or perhaps there is some "special" version of the iPod?

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Need to make sure you're going between the edging and the metal. Personally i use a razor blade and feel out clip locations and wedge it between the clips then gently pry up. Are you attempting removal to get to the battery?

Thanks for your answer. Yes, I am replacing the battery. I managed to finally open it and to summarize the difficulty here, the problem was lack of instructions in all online videos and guides. Everybody says insert praying tool between metal case and plastic part.

The truth is this is not quite the case because if you do that where the metal clips are, you will be pushing the clip further and locking it even more

So if I was to do it again, it would take me now not more than 15 min and I would be aiming at inserting my tool between metal part of the clip, not the case, and plastic part of the front panel

Also, I find having good quality pictures showing what the clips and latching notches look like would help a lot for first time doers
