Data recovery and data transfer

Back in 2017 I installed an OWC Aura 6G SSD 480GB in my MacBook Air mid 2011.

Things were fine until last week when computer froze and is now locked so when I turn on, sign in, I get to desktop but cursor and trackpad do not work.

I may have way too much stuff on desktop. Now I contacted OWC to ask if they had an enclosure where I could put in their SSD and use it as an external drive at least to allow me to transfer data but they said they do not have that.

So I was wondering if there is any kind of adapter cable I could use that has USB capability that might allow me to connect the SSD (once removed from computer) and transfer data? Thanks for helping out.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Sounds like all you need is a new trackpad MacBook Air 13" (Mid 2011) Trackpad and here’s how to install it MacBook Air 13" Mid 2011 Trackpad Replacement

To double check plug in a USB mouse if that works then you should be able to save your system. In anywise you should then be able to backup your stuff to an external drive.
