Gas was leaking, now won't start

We are trying to get my mom's lawn mower working, but no luck. It won't turn on. We know that last season it leaked gas (no idea why). Right now it has no gas, and the oil hasn't been changed in a while, but just not sure what to focus on first to get this motor going. Should I be attempting some kind of repair before I gas it up again?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Bonnie Lundgren let us know what make and model mower is it and what motor does it have. Since you remembered that it was leaking gas I would start with a basic tune-up which includes changing the oil, filters spark plugs and change the rubber gas lines. Then gas it up and see if it starts. Once you got more details coming from that let us know so we can continue to assist you.

So, I know it's a Briggs and Stratton 675 motor... I think 190cc??? Is that the right info, @oldturkey03, or am I looking for something more specific?
