Logic board appears to be stuck to case

I am following iFixit repair guide for replacement of upper case for this machine. I am at the point (step 24 and 25) in MacBook Pro 15" Unibody 2.53 GHz Mid 2009 Upper Case Replacement

The logic board is loose but something underneath it is holding the logic board from lifting enough to get at the microphone loose.

But the point that is stuck is right near ports between RJ-45 and USB port. I don’t want to break the board by applying too much force to pry it out. Is there anything else I should be aware of that isn’t in this repair guide?

Thank you;

JK

The speaker can sometimes get a bit stuck as the foam around it can get sticky holding it in. as you lift give it a bit of tension slowly raising it up the adhesion should break free. Do be careful as the microphone is likely also stuck. If you can use a metal spatula to help lifting the speaker up.

It really was stuck but I did get it loose with a pair of needle nose pliers

plying under the corner with the mag safe connector.

Agree w/previous , it really was stuck. My first time for motherboard removal on this style laptop so had no insight on where sticking point was until it finally broke free. My advice is to be patient, re-verify all =>11 cables disconnected and screws are out. Continue to gently pry away from sticking side of case.

Hope this helps.
