Can You Apply OCA Without A Laminator?

Is it possible to apply OCA without a lamination machine? I am going to be doing a glass only repair on an S7 Edge and I heard LOCA can cause issues with OLED displays. Also I heard that because of the edge display it is much easier for LOCA to slip under the display and go in between the layers.

I bought an S7 Edge glass only kit and it came with two sheets of OCA, a bottle of LOCA and a UV light so I can do either way but apparently OCA sheets are the better option. Can I apply it without a laminator?

you can apply the OCA to the glass substrate with a roller but the roller has to be made for S7 Edge or you will have bubbles on the edge of the glass (Curved Area). For the lamination of LCD to glass you will not be able to do without a vacuum lamination machine and an autoclave to remove the small bubbles that will appear. From experience, I have yet to see it done.

Hi,

One Question,

Is it possible to only refurbish an apple screen with OCA without a laminator?

My idea is to put on the Glas and then only put it in a vacuum bubble remover?

Could it be possible?

Yes any flat glass models don’t need laminator. Just any phones with a edge display needs laminator.
