How to fix error 30

An error 30 occured in my Canon D1100 EOS.. what shouild i do to fix this.. am even getting worse. help the one who knows the solution

@davie77 Err 30 seems to be vry common problem with this model

Description: A malfunction with the shutter has been detected.

Resolution: Turn the power off, then remove and re-install the battery. Then turn the power on again.

Other than that it sounds like a either a stuck or failed shutter. You could call Canon support for your place of residence and see if this is still covered under a “recall” that was happening a while back.

Error30 on Canon 1100SD> in fact the SD card reader has its oxidized contacts> I used contact spray for electronics with a little brush on the contacts of the SD card> I put the card back in the reader / removed and put it back several times / I leave to act overnight AND now no more errors30 ;-) —from a french guy
