Both batteries in a Microsoft Surface Book are replaceable. The link on how to disassemble the device is below:

Which battery you choose to replace depends on which battery is no longer capable of holding a charge. Although the clip portion’s battery has half the battery life of the base battery (4 hours versus 8 hours), neither battery needs replacing if both batteries are fairly functional.

I am in the process of trying to open up the base on the keyboard but it’s proving difficult. Has anyone successfully remove the base yet?

Yes, the adhesive is very stubborn, but it's doable. There are no screws or connectors or anything, just the annoying tape all around. It's especially think at the bottom, near the trackpad.

I changed the keyboard battery but after that, Battery percentage is always %93 and tablet battery on use all the time. Battery is present but not on use. How can I fix this ?
