IPse keeps rebooting after water damage
I recently bought an iPse from eBay that was water damaged. When I received the phone I didn’t bother to turn the phone on, I disassembled the phone completely and did a clean on the phone with mg99% iso. There was no sign of corrosion on the back part of the board it was mainly on the digitizer and lcd and camera connections. So after about an hour or so of cleaning I left the board to fully dry. I left the board to dry for about an hour also once finished and made sure everything was completely dry. I reassembled the phone and turned it on, but once I turned it on it had a lock on it so I had to do a dfu mode recovery to remove the lock on it. Once that was finished I was able to Use the phone as a new phone. Everything was working on the phone sound, brightness, front camera, vibrate, Touch ID,etc. but once I got to the camera I noticed it was just black no image at all it shows that your in the camera mode but you can’t take any pictures. Then I tried using the the flash trough the camera app and it wasn’t working, so I tried using it trough the control center and it wasn’t work on their neither. A couple of key notes that I didn’t mention was that the battery I was using was an aftermarket battery that I had on another se, i used this battery since the other battery that it came with was water damaged. Not sure if the battery is the cause of the restarting but I can’t figure out why the camera isn’t working, i changed the camera with another camera that works and it’s the same just black(at least 4 working cameras). I looked at the camera connection on the board and they look good, the only one i noticed was a littl off( as in one of the pins are black and not making good contact at least from my observation) was the digitizer conecctor but the touch works good on the phone. So my question is what would be my next step into figuring out the problem. Or is it the digitizer connector? Any advice will help.
Is this a good question?
