Is there any way to force shutdown iPhone 7 without restart?

I have everything set up to do a logic board and screen replacement on my iPhone 7, but cannot find any way to turn it off without having it start up again. Is there seriously not any way to shut an iPhone 7 down for good when touch isn’t working? If not, I’ll have to wait for the fully charged battery to run dry, which seems stupid. Would pulling the battery be safe?

Unplugging the battery is perfectly fine. It would be the same as turning off the phone in the system.

I can confirm that unplugging the battery works fine and doesn't seem to damage the system
