Deborah Ellison the seal itself should not corrode since it is some kind of synthetic (rubber). If it corroded the metal behind the seal, clean it off with some emery clothes or steel wool and use some appliance enamel to apply over the metal. Then replace the door seal.

This may not work I am not sure where in the door your talking about but if a self clean doesn't work try using a Q-tip
