Custom screen adhesive strips not sealing.
Replaced screen using custom adhesive strips & heating pad… pops loose. Bought second set of strips & tried again… still pops loose in the middle of two edges.

First things first, make sure the aluminum chassis is straight and not bent.
Buy a roll of Tesa 61935 adhesive from reputable vendors like iFixit, this tape is far better than 3M or ”red tape”.

Agree with @ samy , as well before applying new strip, clean frame with ipa to remove any skin oils or adhesive leftovers. After applying strips and sticking screen on , add some books all over the ipad and leave it for at least several hrs in room temp. Adhesive strips needs some time to make a good bond

Did the ipa & books technique. However, I see now that the careful straightning of all edges & verifying (before reassembly) is essential for a good seal.
