Globe Speaker Board acting weird

I have a Globe Speaker Board which is a skateboard with a Boombotix speaker installed in the board. At time the speaker will not turn on but appears to be charging. At other times the light on it shows that it is on and connected but it isn’t connected to anything. Anyone have any idea what is wrong?
